GIC has developed Leaf Salad Assisted Drop (LSAD) system to increase bagging speeds of leaf products on the GIC range of vertical form, fill and seal packaging machines.
The system will also allow the potential to pack product in smaller bag sizes thus saving on expensive film. The integrated system creates an area of low pressure in the product chute allowing small and large leaf product to be drawn into a bag. This ensures that the product falls as one single slug and eliminates any upstream choking.
